The Passport Program

What’s it all about?

Established in 2010, Passport is a bridge program built upon the successful collaboration between UNC Charlotte and Central Piedmont Community College.

This one year, invitation-only program for first time college students, enables students to complete their first year of college coursework at Central Piedmont Community College while utilizing dual academic advising from both institutions.

The passport program is committed to providing our students with the resources, social programming, and support necessary to be successful in college and to transition seamlessly from Central Piedmont Community College to UNC Charlotte. On average, Passport students earn a higher transfer GPA than other incoming transfer students.
